My name is Iris and I am an interdisciplinary interaction and product designer from the Netherlands. For the past few years my passion for design has lead me to travel the world, live and study in Eindhoven, Melbourne, Delft and Umeå and I’m continuously looking for new challenges.
With my designs I strive to stimulate more humane interactions in which technology plays a supportive role, rather than taking over the experience itself. I love doing projects that bridge the gap between digital and physical design, challenging the way technology is applied. I believe that this is where meaningful design is created.
I have an iterative and hands on approach and I always work in close relation to the user. I am fascinated with the conceptualisation phase in design. Coming up with simple solutions to complex problems and developing these into a complete product.
Besides design I like to going on adventures, hiking and taking pictures of the beautiful nature around me.
